Verification on Gizye
How exporters prove who they are, and what each badge means.
Verification is how Gizye keeps the marketplace trustworthy. It confirms that the person managing a listing genuinely controls the business, and it powers the badges buyers rely on.
The claim flow
An owner starts by claiming their company and confirming a phone number on file with the trade license. If the number matches, the claim is verified automatically and the account becomes a seller. If it cannot be matched, the claim goes to manual review with supporting documents.
Representative verification
A person acting for a company is verified as an authorized representative. This is shown as a separate badge so buyers can distinguish an owner from an authorized representative.
Manual review
Claims, seller applications, and renewals that need human checks enter a single reviewer queue. A reviewer approves, rejects, or requests changes, and the applicant is notified of the outcome.
Trust badges
- Valid License: a current Ethiopian trade license is on file.
- Claimed: a verified owner or representative manages the profile.
- Verified / Verified Representative: identity verification has passed.
License renewal
Trade licenses expire. Sellers submit renewals through their workspace; once reviewed and approved, valid-license status and marketplace visibility are maintained without interruption.
