For Exporters

How can I list my company on Gizye?

If your business is an Ethiopian exporter and is not yet listed on Gizye, you can start the listing and verification process through List Your Business.

You will be asked to provide information about your business and the documents required to verify your exporter profile.

Once submitted, your application may be reviewed by the Gizye team before your exporter workspace and verified business presence become available.

My company is already on Gizye. How can I claim it?

If Gizye already has a profile for your company, you do not need to create another listing.

Open your company's Gizye page and choose Claim this business.

You will be asked to identify your business using its TIN and complete the required verification process.

Claiming connects an existing company profile to an authorized representative rather than creating a duplicate company.

I ran into a problem while claiming my company. What should I do?

If Gizye cannot automatically verify your claim, you may be asked to provide additional information or continue through manual review.

Make sure the business information you provide belongs to the company you are trying to claim and that your contact details are accurate.

If you cannot continue the process or believe the verification result is incorrect, contact Support and choose Claiming a business.

Never send passwords or authentication codes to Support.

Why is my exporter application still under review?

Some applications require review before the business can be activated on Gizye.

The Gizye team may review the submitted business information and supporting documents before making a decision.

You can check the current status of your application from your application tracker or account when available.

Submitting another application for the same business will not normally speed up the review.

Gizye asked me to provide more information. What should I do?

If additional information or documentation is required, follow the instructions shown with your application or review request.

Provide only the information requested and make sure uploaded documents are clear, current, and belong to the business being reviewed.

Your application can continue through review after the requested information has been provided.

My application was rejected. What can I do?

A rejected application means Gizye could not approve the application based on the information available during review.

Check the decision or accompanying instructions carefully. If you believe important information was missing or the decision should be reviewed, contact Support and include the relevant application details.

Do not submit repeated applications unless instructed to do so.

How do I update my company information on Gizye?

After your business has been successfully activated and you have access to your Exporter Workspace, you can manage the information available for your company through the appropriate profile and listing tools.

Keeping your company information, products, export capabilities, markets, certifications, logistics information, and business story current helps buyers understand your business.

Some verified or authoritative business information may not be directly editable.

How do I update my renewed business license?

Gizye tracks the validity of exporter business licenses.

When your license approaches renewal or requires updated documentation, follow the renewal instructions available through your Exporter Workspace.

If you have renewed your license but Gizye continues to show an outdated status, contact Support under License renewal.

What should I do if information on my company page is incorrect?

If you manage the company, first check whether the information can be updated from your Exporter Workspace.

Some company information may come from verified or authoritative business records and cannot be changed directly.

If information that you cannot edit appears incorrect, contact Support and identify the company and the information that needs to be reviewed.

For Buyers

How do I find exporters on Gizye?

Use Gizye's exporter directory and search tools to discover Ethiopian exporters based on the products, industries, categories, or other criteria relevant to your sourcing needs.

Exporter pages provide information that can help you understand the business before making an inquiry.

What does a verified exporter mean on Gizye?

Gizye uses business information and verification processes to help establish the identity and status of exporters represented on the marketplace.

Verification helps buyers distinguish businesses that have completed the applicable Gizye verification process.

It should not replace your own commercial due diligence before entering into a transaction.

How do I contact an exporter?

Open the exporter's company page and use the available inquiry or contact option.

Provide enough information about what you are looking for—including the product, quantity or expected volume, destination market, specifications, and other relevant requirements—so the exporter can understand your request.

What should I include in a sourcing inquiry?

A useful inquiry should explain what you want to source and the commercial requirements that matter.

Where applicable, include:

  • product or category;
  • specifications or quality requirements;
  • approximate quantity;
  • destination country or market;
  • preferred delivery timeframe;
  • certification or packaging requirements; and
  • any other information the exporter needs to evaluate the opportunity.

Do not include passwords, payment-card information, or unnecessary sensitive information.

What if an exporter does not respond to my inquiry?

Exporters manage their own commercial responses, so response times can vary.

Make sure your inquiry contains enough information for the exporter to understand the opportunity. You may also explore other relevant exporters on Gizye.

Gizye Support can help with problems using the marketplace, but it cannot guarantee that a particular exporter will respond or accept a commercial request.

I found incorrect information on an exporter page. How can I report it?

If you notice information that appears incorrect or outdated, contact Gizye Support and provide the company name and a clear description of the information you believe should be reviewed.

Do not submit confidential information that is unnecessary for the report.

I'm having trouble using my Gizye account. What should I do?

If you cannot use an account or marketplace feature as expected, first make sure you are signed in to the correct account.

If the problem continues, contact Support under Account & sign-in or Technical problem and explain what you were trying to do, what happened, and what you expected to happen.

Signed-in and verified users can attach an appropriate screenshot when necessary.

About Gizye & Marketplace Safety

What is Gizye and what can I use it for?

Gizye is a B2B marketplace focused on connecting Ethiopian exporters with buyers.

Buyers can discover exporters and explore sourcing opportunities, while Ethiopian exporters can establish and manage their business presence on Gizye and connect with potential buyers.

Is Gizye the seller?

Exporter profiles represent businesses using or listed on the Gizye marketplace. Commercial discussions and transactions are between the relevant businesses unless a Gizye service explicitly states otherwise.

Always confirm commercial terms, documentation, payment arrangements, shipping requirements, and other transaction details with the appropriate business.

Does a verified company mean Gizye guarantees the exporter or transaction?

Verification is intended to provide useful business identity and marketplace trust information.

It does not guarantee product quality, commercial performance, payment, delivery, or the outcome of a transaction.

Buyers and exporters should perform appropriate due diligence before entering into commercial commitments.

What information should I never send through Gizye or Support?

Never send your password, authentication code, one-time code, full payment-card details, or other credentials to Gizye Support or another marketplace user.

Gizye Support will never ask you to send your password or authentication code in a support message.

Be cautious if someone asks you to bypass normal account-security procedures or send credentials.

Common Questions

Do I need an account to contact Gizye Support?

No. You can send a Support request without a Gizye account.

For security, we will ask you to verify your email address before a guest Support conversation is opened.

If you already have a Gizye account, sign in first so your request and replies remain available from your account's Support area.

Where can I see my previous Support requests?

If you are signed in, open Support from your Standard Account or Exporter Workspace.

Your active and answered requests are kept together so you can return to the conversation and review previous replies.

Guest requests remain accessible through the secure access provided for that specific Support conversation.

Why do I need to verify my email address?

For guest Support requests, email verification confirms that you control the address used to open the conversation.

This helps prevent someone else from opening a Support request using your identity and protects access to subsequent replies.

Can I attach screenshots or documents?

Attachments are available to signed-in, verified users from the Support conversation inside their Standard Account or Exporter Workspace.

Supported files include appropriate images and PDF documents.

For security, guest Support requests do not support attachments.

Never upload passwords, authentication codes, payment-card details, or documents that are not necessary to resolve your request.

How quickly will Gizye Support reply?

Response times depend on the type and complexity of the request.

Issues affecting account access, verification, exporter applications, marketplace functionality, or other time-sensitive operations may require different investigation and response times.

You can follow replies from your Support conversation when signed in.

My problem is not listed. Can I still contact Support?

Yes.

Choose the topic closest to your issue and explain what happened, what you were trying to do, and what you expected instead.

The Support team can review the request and route it appropriately.
